Re: BAL SBR & APD. Confusion

oh, the tiles are heavy!! 8.5 mm thick 400x400mm! i'm due to start at 11 am tomorrow!
May be wise to check the weight. Don't forget to add on the weight of the addy and grout into your calculation. Dont want them falling off on anybody. if 6 tiles approaches 15kg, I would be wary.

Re: BAL SBR & APD. Confusion

i have a genesis 600mm dry cutter, i've been told that the tiles should cut ok with ym 6mm wheel but i want to make sure before i try coz the first 12 or so jobs i've done have been ceramic and i've not yet come across porcelain until today!

Re: BAL SBR & APD. Confusion

I think that cutter has a movable breaker..so it should be spot on......

Re: BAL SBR & APD. Confusion

is it just a case of scoring and snapping the same as ceramic but with more of a hit?

Just try it and see which technique works best.... through bodied porcelain will break easy .. it's the harder porcelanato thats tougher to cut on some cutters.....
