hole
A hole is an opening in or through a particular medium, usually a solid body. Holes occur through natural and artificial processes, and may be useful for various purposes, or may represent a problem needing to be addressed in many fields of engineering. Depending on the material and the placement, a hole may be an indentation in a surface (such as a hole in the ground), or may pass completely through that surface (such as a hole created by a hole puncher in a piece of paper). In engineering, a hole may be blind or through if it is partial or complete depth.
The wash basin has been relocated and has left a large hole in the brick wall.
The whole area to be filled is about half a square metre with the deepest part in the middle about 2 inches deep.
I've only just started as a tiler and not sure if / how to tackle this.
I was thinking of building...

Many on the market now - Rubi, 365, Armeg PTC and many more.
Which are the best performers for the money.
Know Armeg are one of the best but very expensive !!! :huh2:

hi new tiler here could anybody advice me on a decent set of hole cutters had no problem with wall tiles but needed to drill through floor tiles the other day and had a tough time cheers steve
Hi
Just need a bit of advice on a job I may be doing that I had a look at today. It was to replace some lower tiles in a shower unit but its not as simple as that. After the shower drain pipe leaked water had got into the substrate causing tiles to eventually come off.
Anyway the client...
Just bought some of the 356 diamond drills for drilling through the harder stuff, but need some recommendations for drilling wall tiles, been looking at the RUBI carbide set on trade tiler, are they worth the cash, or are there any others worth taking a look at, Cheers.
Sometimes when drilling a hole you find it is too tight for a fitting to pass through.
This could be a disaster if the tile has already been fitted on the wall. This rescue is not pretty but it will get you out of trouble in certain situations.
