Discuss How do i fill a big hole? in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

The wash basin has been relocated and has left a large hole in the brick wall.
The whole area to be filled is about half a square metre with the deepest part in the middle about 2 inches deep.

I've only just started as a tiler and not sure if / how to tackle this.
I was thinking of building up with cement render but I'm thinking this hole is too big.

Any ideas

Cut some plasterboard and stick that in using PB adhesive.
Then build up and make flush with some rapid set - you can tile straight onto that after 3 hours

As macten sez...just dot & dab some plaster board flush to the existing wall then no need to patch in....
