I have just bought a Sigma 9M6 wet cutter and I have a bit of a problem.

The 110v plug supplied is huge, bigger than all my other 110v kit and to bit to fit in my optimus prime?

Is that safe?

Excuse my ignorance as all my tools have always been 240v, I'm gradually changing over to 110v as I buy new kit. This is the first time I've seen a larger 110v plug

You may find that a 5 kv transformer as Gary suggested will have more output for the size of the motor on your cutter..

Yeah, been looking into it today looks like i'll need the 5kv, pretty annoying considering just spent £1500.
