What's the best way to do envelope cuts in a wet room . Do you centre from the shower tray to get the envelope cuts equal ?

It always looks better if it can be centred from the drain, it gives nice symmetry. It's not always possible if it leaves nasty cuts elsewhere in the room or if the drain is offset.

Cheers Bri, I haven't done them before so not sure how to tackle them. Do you just mark & cut the tiles in the centre ? or do I have to file the edges smooth? The tiles are porcelain .

Don't file. A good manual cutter (like a Rubi :hurray:) will give a clean edge anyway (with most tiles). But I prefer to keep the break as natural as possible, gap no more than 1mm and using a good quality grout. If you have to cut natural stone it will have to have a gap at least the width of the electric cutting blade (usually at least 2mm). Again well laid and grouted will look excellent with no additional finishing.
