As title, what size notch should I be using? 6mm or 10mm? What's the downside of using a 6mm over 10mm? The wall is perfectly flat. Many thanks.

Thanks. Would back skimming the tile as well not be too much? I thought back skimming as well effectively doubles the thickness? I.e 20mm?

No by back skimming I mean using the flat side of the trowel just to give the tile back a thin coating.
