This week's job the customer had rip out the whole downstairs of his house so I could tile the floors while he was on holiday.
This was the only water supply I could find...lol

Ive done that and I've also tried a dustpan as a funnel in a tiny basin. Finally worked out it was easier to put my bucket under the basin and remove the trap.

Minds me of a job a few years ago at the NEC at Birmingham.
Needing 100's of litres of water to do some overnight concreting in one of the car parks.......found some toilet blocks......with wash basins, but unable to get a bucket in to the actual basin to get water........took off the bottle traps below, hey presto water!

On the flip side I remember being in Spain once and saw a team of guys replacing 2 cracked paving tiles.

They had a van (assume with tools and to carry men) with a trailer that had cones in to close the pavement off. Then a pick up truck towing a water tank on wheels. Then a van with railings in to make a path on the road for the cones to get used to block off a lane and divert traffic around the railings.

Took a whole day to replace two tiles using 2 or 3 teams of two or three men.

Best thing: they were meters from a fire hydrant.

We used to fill containers of water when working out in the sticks, that was when I used to do special concrete repairs for a while.
