I have underfloor heating overlain with ceramic floor tiles in the kitchen. I need to replace the entire floor as a number of the tiles are cracked. Should I remove the current tiles first or can I tile over? I am worried about loss of heat from teh underfloor heating heating through two layers of tiles. Is this a problem?

Always best to remove tiles imo, is this wet ufh or electric cables?

I'm afraid the floor needs to come up, tiles are suprisingly strong when Laid correctly so if a number of them have cracked I would say this needs investigating
