Good evening everyone, I'm currently tiling my kitchen hallway and bathroom, I was wondering when it comes to getting the adhesive on the go, what would you recommend when applying it, I read somewhere that with tiles this size you should put adhesive on floor and also butter the back of the tiles, or would you just put it on the floor, any guidance appreciated. I only have a limited knowledge of tiling as just done level 1 walls and floor Cskills award, so got the basics, but never had a chance to work with porcelain on the course, thanks in advance

Trowel the floor & back butter the tiles.
I back butter all tiles (wall & floor) over 300x300mm.
I've ripped out too many jobs where tiles haven't been back buttered & have been very easy to remove.

On tiles that size ,butter the backs also creates more adhesion and better coverage

Back buttering and trowel the floor. If you have a form of PTB (such as BAL PTB) you can just follow the pouring instructions but it's a bit of a waste for 300x600 tiles. So unless you have a PTB then butter the b!
