well on the tilemaster product guide it says T&G,Prime,Adhesive,tile. this seems dodgy to me so will have to buzz them tomorrow. the other option is no more ply,adhesive, 6mm insulation,ufh,slc,waterproof,tile. but will leave an unsightly step at the door

The 'other option' is obviously the correct method.
Is this a job your hoping to get paid for or is it a DIY project for yourself.

You could use plastic ply straight over the floor boards 2mm then over the top of that with a tanking sheet 1mm, check out N&C Wet room solutions
