Mapei mapei primerg , mud and tile. - Tile Advice

Hi . Im tiling a splashback. Ive taken old tiles off and wallpaper.

I want to paint the wall down to the tile line.
Its plasterboard wall.
I need to skim the wall with joint compound , but need to pva it .

I know pva is no good for tiles. Ive got primer g plaster primer.

Could I use this instead of the pva for the drywall skim (using joint compound) as I will be using it for the tiles.

Stick with pva for the skim.
