No not really, it'll put one line down the floor but it's designed for walls more than floors.Does that do floors as well @LEE MAC

The Bosch GTL3 is more versatile as it has a third beam, but the best all round in that price range is the one below, it has a green beam also which is easier to see in bright conditions and has a rechargeable battery.Is this any good for floors? or would the bosch GTL3 be better?
