Thanks a lot for helping me out here, what a good website, am glad i found it.

So topfix is the best then, better than bal.

Just a quick question do i need to prime all walls especially around shower areas before i fix tiles

No, Bal is regarded by many as the industary best, but Toppfix is a good adhesive at a very good price for quite a lot of tiling work, where as Bal is more expensive their range of adhesives are best for shower rooms and very wet areas.

If your doing a full bathroom with standard ceramics, then Toppfix is fine for the walls not in wet areas, where as you'd use Bal blue or white star for the wetter walls, like bath walls etc.

Stick for stick on standard ceramic tiles Toppfix is just as good as Bal bluestar and is cheaper too, so even for kitchen splashbacks toppfix is good.

I need to cover 35 sm of walls for this job, how much will that cost me in supplies roughly. so i should use bal blue star for the shower area then toppfix for all other areas, is toppfix ready made
