Hi,

I understand why Bal designed their thin bed solid bed trowel as they have although by the sounds of it people prefer the Rubi trowels. Would an 8mm square notched trowel suffice for wet areas or is a u shape version available?

Thanks

Wall and anything that would need that size. I've got plenty of thick bed trowels, just nothing inbetween.

I use a Ragni trowel which works well for me, about 8-9mm deep but thin notches. B&Q sell them.

Picked up an 8x8 Rubi locally in the end as needed to get started. Not sure if the green star was just cold but wasn't as easy to seat the tiles solidly compared to the bagged stuff using a 6mm trowel. Will see how the rest goes
