Blunt Tool

Don't you join in too.

Criticise anybody you want but don't get solicitors letters coming to me I'm too busy. Criticise constructively.

And to be fair I didn't realise any of our sponsors sold adhesive. :)
Not saying a word! Lol

Honestly; I've better things to do than micromanage members playing silly buggers so if you wouldn't mind just logging off if you're going mess about then that'd be cool.

The Norcros product range looks ok. You could easily complete a job without mixing manufacturers.

The datasheets are good, all BS EN tested products.

The waterproofing membrane drying time is to slow for me so wouldn't use it personally but above was mentioned tech support was good so give it a chance...

what

Thanks for the help
I think I should maybe avoid going to cheap in case I regret it later.
I've seen some el cheapo at bQ by mapei (in brown paper bags) not seen it elsewhere but that must be made to a price rather than specification.

It's a very basic adhesive apparently, there's a thread on it somewhere.

Should have called the thread 'loads of makes of adhesive' I think. :D

If you're totally unsure see what decent flexible adhesive you can get cheap and have a go with that.

Either way just cut down on the solitors letters for me please lol

I defend everything whether rightly or wrongly but I'm inundated.

Facebook and Google get sued every day. They have teams though and millions more issues than me.

I have me. And a solitors letter each week. Once a month it gets serious. Once every 6 I need to remove something. It gets tiresome for the sake of some plonker who could have worded it another way to prevent but still thinks we live in the land of free speech and unfortunately we bloody don't lol

Not sure if your knowledge is strong on product codes, ie. Do you know the difference between a C1 & C2 adhesive?
That cheap mapei adhesive was more than likely a basic C1. Your go to adhesive would generally be a C2TES1. If you learn the difference you can make a more informed choice, rather than its bag appearance/marketing.

One Day

Classifications are like other certs though, they can claim whatever they like can't they? No need for independant testing. I've witnessed first hand BAL and Tilemaster's in-house testing and I trust those.
(I could be wrong - often am)

Are Norcros tile adhesives recommended?
I started using Norcross A few years back, it was ok for a while....in fact not bad....then I hit a bad batch of pallets on a couple of occasions, the fast set was gone in approx 10 minutes...solid as a rock, the final straw was when I ordered a pallet direct to a job in Warrington it was deliver wrongly to another job I had just finished in Prestbury, when they refused to pick up and take to correct job I never looked at the stuff again never mind buy it, I had to drive from Warrington to collect 52 bags in one go in a VW Caddy because it was just dumped in the middle of a customers drive.
