If you are using a cement based adhesive then most manufacturers recommend a 6mm bed....this means the finished bed once the tiles are bedded back..........

It is yes LEE......... if you require a thicker bed...say it was for floors then use a thick bed adhesive...something like BAL PTB.........

It is all in the prep work....more prep less headache....
