Im soon going to be fitting acrylic splashbacks in my kitchen. The old tiles have been removed and some of the old plaster has come off along with them. I now have an uneven wall to cover. would i be ok to use dot and dab to secure the splashbacks to it?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
