I'm planning on installing coloured Bevel Metro tiles to kitchen splash back size 200/100 with a thickness of 7 mm.

The manufacturer recommends a minimum of 2 mm for grout line, I'm not a fan of large grout lines and am hoping to either use 1 mm or 1 1/2 mm spacers.
Has anybody had negative experiences or suggestions with tiles and small grout lines as in my project?

And 2 mm is not exactly a large grout line.
