I am a first time tiler, plumber and carpenter on my master bathroom job.

I am ready to start waterproofing the seams on the Kerdi boards and screws. However I've read some information about the kind of thinset (unmodified versus modified) that it IS NOT WATERPROOF and don't want to move forward until I figure it out.

I purchased Schluter All Set and Tape Roll for waterproofing the seams but haven't moved forward because of this.
