should I be applying anything prior to tiling the walls round a pool area? the walls are painted at the moment. thanks for any advice

Ok if it's going to be like that, I was asking a serious question, didn't know whether it was paint or a waterproof membrane had been painted on. Ok then, paint, what kind of paint.
