Okay, so I want to do some testing with this before we commit to it fully.

We can have push notifications from the forum via an external app, call PushOver.

You can download the app from your app store. Here are some links to their Apps.
Pushover: Device Clients (Pushover Android APK, Pushover iPhone IPA) - https://pushover.net/clients

Get the trial, and test it with me, see what you think.

Then associate your account. It needs to use the same email address as you have with the forum. So check what that is first if you use a few email accounts.

Once associated, you can edit which notifications you get, so you don't get bombarded if you're a regular user. You should be able to do that on your external accounts page at the bottom. I seem to have an issue with it at the moment so I'm just working through that now.

for desk top yes, the next incarnation of windows phone, probably going to be the surface phone will be able to run all desk top apps .
so yes the old windows mobile store will die, so no point in making windows phone apps anymore.
long live windows :)

don't use desktop or tables, just the phone now for everthing

You want to get a phone that does everything then if you're getting rid of actual electrical items that connect to the world lol :p

my phone does everything I need it to do, and when connected to a monitor (like now) it lets me use it like a pc.

All apps are dead for all OS, we will just connect to the site direct.

Yeah you can turn off emails if you want. I've set a quiet time so we all can get rest. I think it's 10:30pm to 7:45am (you can change it in your app settings on your phone). So I haven't been getting the latest ones pinging me. They just stack up in the app.

But I've been working on this: www.electriciansforums.co.uk :)
