Discuss Underlayment Question - Backer board ok on top of felt/metal lath? in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

Initially planned on a mortar bed for my underlayment. Quickly realized I should've gone with backer board instead. I already installed roofing felt and metal lath. Is it ok to install the cement board on top or should I rip out the paper/lath? Thanks in advance.
