Hi, I’m hoping someone could advise me. I’m wanting to tile only part of my garage floor. The back wall contains my utility but the rest of the garage is a gym so has rubber matting.
The garage floor is painted concrete. I know I have to put down some self levelling compound but how do I stop it spreading into the rest of the garage? I was thinking I could put a temporary baton threshold down and caulk or silicone the edge between the floor and the baton to stop the compound spilling out. Would this work? Also do I need to use uncoupling membrane over the self levelling compound? I’m getting mixed results on my research. Many thanks.
