hello all,

I am currently thinking of changing my career and tiling is looking the best thing for me to do. I have looked at a fast track course at a tiling centre. I would class myself as good at manual labour. i just wanted advice on jobs and if they are easy enough to come by and the best ways to put yourself out there.

thanks in advance

Hi ox
If you are going to do the fast course make sure they give you hands on experience of working with 600x600 porcelain tiles as this is what you will be fitting mostly .

Do the longest course you can afford and itll give you a good foundation to build a career on. Youll always be learning.

One Day

A five day bal course, taught in small numbers by dave Rowley will give you much much more than any two or four week course elsewhere.

Also, training from industry leaders like schluter, wedi etc is very valuable.

I just read your other thread, Ox. Is the plan that you do a tiling course and then start your own business?
