Hello all

When using an angle grinder with a tile cutting blade on, do you cut with the tile face up or down.

Do you want to have blade cutting into face ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

No such thing as a stupid question ( but it’s close)!
Glaze surface up so your cutting through the glaze and make sure you put the blade in the grinder correctly so it’s cutting in the direction of the arrow.
Now if I’am cutting a hole in the tile I do cut on the back and punch the hole out the front.

I thought that. Same as cutting into laminate wood etc. What about with porc? Glaze dependent again I guess?

Stupid question number 2 - arrow on grinder matches arrow on blade?

The arrow on the grinder blade must match with the direction that the grinder spins.

Usually the arrow side out. It is on my grinders/polisher anyway.

Thank you. I don’t normally have a problem. It’s been a long day and I have been playing with my new disk and cutting guide - which has messed with my head a bit lol. It will all be obvious tomorrow when I look at it again and I will feel like a bit of a ... wally
