Just taken on my first job, previously done heating and plumbing but wanted to tackle full bathrooms and build up my knowledge.

Everything is going pretty good so far I just wanted advice on the gaps between walls. Now my main & largest wall opposite the doorway which is to be tiled parallel to the bath long ways I was wondering what size in mm to leave each side. I know it is 6mm for movement but I am thinking I need the tiles on the side walls to slide behind and considering the following factors I am thinking around 16mm each side

I am using 8mm ceramic tiles therefore, 8mm either side, 3-4mm thick adhesive for the tiles & 2mm spacer, 2mm for give/take factor so providing I leave 6mm off the back of the wall for my side tile I was thinking 8+4+2+2 so around 16mm could anyone further advise?

Thanks in advance
