No need to go bigger, have a look at the new dewalt grinder, I've had one about a month now, it's 1100watts will fly through anything with a decent blade on
I was thinking blade depth more than power as my grinder has an effective depth of 30mm . I know that is enough but thought it might be easier with a larger diameter blade .

Fair enough @jcrtiling I usually just have the blade only slightly out of thw bottom of the cut as I cut flat on a bench now so didn't really think of the depth issue, plus I'm just not a fan of the 9 inch and will only use if absolutely necessary

Do you know I hate to be pedantic but I was actually thinking 7". I agree on 9" it is a bitof a beast .

9 inch is a beast but it's got the balls to cut thick stone with ease. Probably twice as fast as using a 115m grinder

Took your advice and after the first few cuts it seemed to wear its self in, worked a dream ✔️ Cheers
