I am looking to dig out about 1/4 inch of existing and re grout. My issue is its an off white color and always getting dirty and well you know. I read that epoxy is the way to go.

Can you put epoxy grout over old nonsanded grout that's left in the joint after I use an oscillating saw to remove a 1/4 inch or so?

Is it much more difficult to install epoxy grout? I typically mix up the nonsanded and use my finger to put down in the past with a sponge to pick up the excess.

Thanks !
