Has anyone come across a conservatory with a wooden base? Iv only ever known concrete. Not actually been to look at it yet just conversing with customer via email.

Been built for 2 months now so wondering whether to give it upstairs treatment ie 6mm backer board overlay before fixing tiles. Waiting to here about type of wood and thickness first

Your going to have a considerable difference in daily and seasonal temperatures so you may want to consider not only a strengthening layer, but also a decoupling mat with anti crack properties. In the summer you can get 120 degrees air temperature and freezing in winter, so UFH could be suggested.
