I've not had any issues with schmox clips from ebay. The base is a tiny bit thick but not too bad as I like a decent bed depth, and probably 1 in 100 will brake prematurely

Is soaking the clips in water a myth?I think a lot of breakages occur because the clips take a few knocks whilst in their bags in the back of the van etc.
