I have chipped a ceramic before as well callatiler before I put the clips under the tile I make sure to run a small margin trowel through
the trowel serrations in the addy where the clips will go, that helps to
keep the spacer part of the clip clean and breaks off better

For me, levelling clips have a synergy with Brexit. It’ll be interesting to see what effect they have on the industry in a few years time.
