Hi,
I need some advice as I've been to a customers house to find that someone has tiled a polished beige limestone floor and has used a fila colour intensifier sealant but, the tiles have gone patchy/striped effect and they want to know if I can rectify it. Does anybody know of some stone restoration stripper I can use or will they need to get a professional stone contractor to strip and reseal the floor?
Any help would be much appreciated

The funny thing is I know you get different shades but I noticed some were a dull limestone and some look polished. The dull ones look like they have been sealed fine. The tiles are all dry aswell.

Are there any left over tiles? may be worth looking at that 1st to see if its to do with the stone and not fixing sealing errors.

you can make polished finish to honed finish using polisher and different grade polishing pads, but some times , if tile surface is uneven the polishing pad does not touch deeper spots to take shine away

Not sure if they have got any spare tiles I will find out tomorrow but how can I tell if they are faulty?

Give one a coat of the same sealer and see if the problem happens again. I reckon there was some form of protection on the tile that wasnt cleaned off before sealing but I am not as well up on stone than some other members on here. I am sure they will be along tonight to have their say
