job
Employment is a relationship between two parties regulating the provision of paid labour services. Usually based on a contract, one party, the employer, which might be a corporation, a not-for-profit organization, a co-operative, or any other entity, pays the other, the employee, in return for carrying out assigned work. Employees work in return for wages, which can be paid on the basis of an hourly rate, by piecework or an annual salary, depending on the type of work an employee does, the prevailing conditions of the sector and the bargaining power between the parties. Employees in some sectors may receive gratuities, bonus payments or stock options. In some types of employment, employees may receive benefits in addition to payment. Benefits may include health insurance, housing, disability insurance. Employment is typically governed by employment laws, organisation or legal contracts.

These are kitkats on a mesh backing.
Not entirely sure how the tiler has managed to do this.
Are you meant to put one tile to the wall leaving a gap and then you overlap the next tile on the other wall?
Anything I can do to fix it or at least make it less annoying to look at?
My last Old School Shower Repair/wet room conversion. It was leaking in the basement to the point where the customer had to put a bucket underneath the drain to collect the water, 100% waterproofed. Flat Rock, MI

Hi, it's my first time here and I'm desperate to solve this problem. Can someone please tell me if there is something wrong with this tile job? I was told thick thinset is needed since we are installing 12 x 24 porcelain tile and that the look of this tile job is normal. I was told not to worry...
Hi there
I am looking for a tiler to help me regrout a fairly small area (about 2m by 2m) in a shower room. After about 2/3 years the existing grout is now beginning to fail - the tiles were not laid by an experienced tiler and that is now beginning to show!
I’m halfway through tiling a shower cubicle at home. First time doing any tiling. I’ve used waterproof tile backer boards with 200x65 ceramic metros. The chap at CTD recommended using Mapei Ultralite D2 tubbed adhesive as it would give me plenty of working time and easy to use.
I noticed when...

Ground floor renovation job...
We recently finished a bathroom renovation where the two builders who did the bathroom also did all the tiling. When looking over the work at the end of the job it seemed generally ok, but we found some things we weren't happy with like an extractor fan that wasn't flush to the wall by almost...
Hi, Hope everyone is well. I'm after some advice please. I'm currently having my bathroom tiled floor to ceiling. Tiler started yesterday and has completed 3 walls. Before he left he mentioned that in the top corner near the ceiling there is only a small tile due to uneven walls. Not really...
Recently had a building company replace a leaking wet room floor, located on the 1st floor of a 1930's built terrace house.
The tiles are large format porcelain tiles sitting on a Ditra Matt supported by 18" plywood. The rusty trowel that he left before the bank holiday w/e gave me some...
I was hoping for some advice.
I have large white tiles in my kitchen who a friend laid. I was away at the time he laid them so was unable to give him feel back and ask for them to be altered at the time. I absolutely hate the way they have been laid, the joints do not line up and he didn't use...

Hi all,
Homeowner here.
I’m currently having my (tiny) bathroom renovated, along with a separate cloakroom/WC room.
I’m wondering what your opinions are on the tile job that they have done for me.
The job is still ongoing currently. It’s being done by a “bathroom installer”, who is a...
Hi all. I'm about to do my first ever tiling job on my home. Small fireplace hearth, not for a real fire, one of those biofuel ones.
So hear is my query, floor is concrete under the tiles and remaining floor covering is going to be carpet with an 11mm underlay.
So if I put the tiles directly...
Hello, after some advice, I feel like I’ve had a really bad tiling job done, it’s half finished as he’s tried to place dark grout over white grout and realised half way through its not working, I just feel where he’s finished the spacing between the tiles isn’t even, am I being too fussy?

Hey everyone!
Just want to say first of all that I am not a tiler or anything I’m just in need of some advice if possible!
My parents got their chimney breast done in Split Face Slate Tiles and I’m not sure if this is how it should have been left, I’ll try and attach images but there is a lot of...
Hi,
I'm sorry its another bad job or not thread.
We've been having our downstairs toilet renovated using a local plumbing company who employ and external tiler to do any tiling work. Throughout it has felt rushed- and I have had doubts regarding the mitring of the tile border in particular-...
