Hi,

Looking at tiling the floor of my bathroom. No UFH just plain tiling. Whats the preferred base?

Fixing onto solid floorboards (no squeak or bounce). Screwed down NMP or hardiebacker, or any other product suggestions?

Thank you for reading

John.

Got told the other day than 6mm xps style board isn't suitable for timber overlay, 10mm minimum. Apparently
Manufacturers say that 6mm insulated board isn't suitable for floorboards and suggest to use thicker board but not for ply or chipboard etc.

I can honestly say that I have never seen that written anywhere. I'm not saying it's not true, just not seen it!

They usually drop that info into technical support or information or some sections where they explain how to use products.

Well I found it at last, hidden in the depths of a Marmox PDF document!
