Mapei UK and bal said epoxy less flexible than modified cement grouts.
Are we any the wiser!?
Let's do this way. on the mainland the flexion is the same between epoxy and ucp.
on the islands, ucp is more flexible than epoxy.
joking aside, I believe the technical mapei I called today,
that said: no difference, only difference epoxy remains attached
ucp exits from the lines. (and it seems to me the most sensible answer.

My kerakoll rep just got back to me and said epoxy is more flexible.

I'll definitely believe that epoxy is more flexible thus making Paul's simple logic wrong :p
