We have taken up the carpet in the hallway of our old house to expose the original black and buff quarry tiles. However, there are several problems. The tiles have at some point in the past been screeded over and it has proved impossible to remove most of the screed without cracking the tiles. Also, some of the buff ones have become concave over the decades and the substrate in some places is unsound. Most of the tiles will need to be replaced and we have sourced a supply of reclaims. Is there anyone out there who can take a look at quote for the restoration of this floor? Many thanks.

JLG.... you'd be better off if you starting again with your project, in the style that you require, either reclaim or new, you will achieve the look and quality that you want, without the headaches or excuses..
