Hi guys, in the middle of re tiling a bathroom. Very new to me...
I just come by a guide that recommended using expansion joints on the walls. Never heard of this before, from what i gather its just a fancy word for silconing at junctions on internal walls which i was going to do anyway. Silcone around bath and internal cornors. But is it a good idea to to install them in places on the walls in replace of grout or is this not a good idea

Only required if large walls over 6m long. In which case the walls should be broken up into 3 - 4.5m sections separated by movement joints. Most bathrooms are not this size and so then only silicone to the bath, shower tray and internal corners as you suggest.

Ah perfect, yea room is much smaller than this, thanks alot bud
