hello, new to the site. Proud owner of new home with original tiled hallway that requires some tlc or maybe a new home. Came to the site to find out how we can best preserve these authentic tiles in view of plans for major house renovation.

Hi, do you mean cover them up while your having work done? Or restore them to looking great again ?
I mean who might want to buy them from me. I don't think keeping them is an option. Changing the position of the stairs means we'd need more tiles to cover the enlarged hallway. The original pattern was laid incorrectly so the entire thing would need to be pulled up. It's a colliford 50 pattern I think.
