Sorry, I know this is one of those questions that has no answer but I need to get a van for my tiling business. I was thinking Transit Custom or VW Transporter but I've seen a few trades men in the VW Caddy and was wondering what tilers went for.

I would get something of transit size but depends what sort of work your doing if your just doing kitchen splashbacks a caddy would be fine but if your tiling large floors you would soon go overweight with adhesive etc in a small van .

I'm all for the transits, not the custom the one before, but if your thinking of going for something a little newer and flasher then I have heard very good things about the spanking new vivaro, better the new transits my sources tell me dont know the specifics of that tho

I'm getting a new shape vivaro in the coming weeks, I've spent ages contemplating it. Transits have such a bad crime rate

Depends on what you feel you NEED to carry . For me Tiling does not require HUGE vans . And you can get stuff delivered.

IF i was to buy a van it would be a Renault traffic . About 6 years old with AC . A few friends have them and they have never let them down. great value and drive well . I would only BUY , i dont Lease or get on the ticky ticky

I get all big job materials delivered to job aswell as tiles so only need van for tools. This is my 3rd Vauxhall combo, new shape this time! Wouldn't buy anything else, reliable, economical, plenty of room and easy to park.
