Hi, it's my first time here and I'm desperate to solve this problem. Can someone please tell me if there is something wrong with this tile job? I was told thick thinset is needed since we are installing 12 x 24 porcelain tile and that the look of this tile job is normal. I was told not to worry coz a trim will be installed and painted. Help please. Thank you.

Maybe the walls are not plumb ? to begin so he blobbed them on ?
Maybe the walls are plumb but the tiles are out ?
Thick thinset is gauged to wall and to tiles using notched trowel to suit (thicker) not blobs
All especially heavy wall tiles need 95-100 % adhesive contact to wall
But the adhesive can only be as thick as manufacturer instruction

Depends what you agreed with your tiler ?
