I'm tiling (9mm) over cement board (12.5mm) around a bath and the board/ tiling will be 1200mm high, so the top will have a "bare edge". What tile trim is recommended to cover the cement board/ tile edge, or should I use something else?

Thanks

12.5 + 9 = 21.5, so it would seem you need to get a trim that covers at least 21.5mm. Good luck with that.

But I'd be looking into the way its been fixed, &/or if its suitable / done correctly.

I haven't done it yet that's why I'm asking before I do it what the best way to cover it is.

It's doable with a 15mm trim on/behind the backerboard and then another trim on the tile edge. Whichever way you do it will leave a 'ledge' of just about an inch. Why don't you just tile up to the ceiling?

Sounds like the Hardie has been plonked directly onto the wall around the bath...why.

Nothing has been plonked anywhere, but when it is it'll be screwed to the wall . The "why" is that the wall in the intended shower cubicle is out of true so I plan to line it with aquapanel and the bath is on the same wall - if I don't continue the run of aquapanel the "ledge" will be vertical in line with the shower door.

I'm happy to have a ledge, my question is how this is normally dealt with (other than tiling up to the ceiling)?

The lack of tile trim wider than 15mm made me think that already (although there is this), which is why I asked here just in case there was another solution.
