Ok I believe the answer should be no but Ill explain my dilemma...
Restaurant kitchen area ...existing floor tiles (330x330mm)..of course dirty and greasy the odd few lipping but appear sound..(need good clean first)
Client wants Pilkington quarry tiles (they look like, but very thin ) laid..on top..150x150mm..
Ive laid tile on tile before thats not my problem..but I am concerned about laying quarry on to these tiles..My gut instinct is to say no get the old tiles lifted and screed/level floor then lay....Or level over the existing tiles?
or
go over them with 300.300 porcelain tiles.
also pricing ...tile on tile they cant remove half of the kitchen equipment its just looking like a real nightmare...what would you go on the sqm (its about 22sqm in total)...tiles will need sealed as well Im sure as its major kitchen area..
cheers
