best Bet it to overboard it with 6mm Hardiebacker, glued, screwed and taped with Alkaline resistant tape ;)

Blunt Tool

Rubi TF fond memories of them, the plywood was to give the base a bit of give, the forerunner of spring loaded beds, worked very well and actually got better with age.
