Hi,

I've treated myself to a new monty 93, however, straight out of the box its not as smooth as I was expecting. When scoring, the handle, feels 'jumpy'. Difficult to explain but hope you know what I mean.

Montolit recommends the use of WD40 but would Silicone Spray be better?

I don't think theres anything wrong just need to break it in a bit. Anybody experienced similar?

Thanks,

With any new cutter it takes a few practice cuts to get the feel. Using the wd40 tube on the side will help with the cuts

Would you use the WD40 on the rail as well? I've read on here before that Silicone spray is less degrading on rubber/plastic parts.
