Metal mosaic tiles

just got some from B&Q and was wondering which adhesive and grout is right for the job, thanks

yup mags man from bnq says best to lay wth pva primer and blue tack lol

Use a Mapei Adhesive available from www.TileGiant.co.uk.

p.s. without knowing what type of tile it is and what you're tiling over, we can't really tell you exactly which mapei adhesive and what quantity. If you can hit us back with that information I'm sure we'll be able to help.

mapei kerraquik will do then use a flexible mapei grout

please check out the sponsor tile giant for local store listings, use a wet cutter to cut or get a tiler from here to quote you as metal tiles are a pain to work with

they are going on to plaster walls, and are very small ally(forgot how to spell) mosiacs set on a net backing, thanks

are they solid metal, or are they a stainless steel coating over ceramic?
i have installed both types...so if stainless wrap over ceramic buscuit, then any good quality adhesive will do...i would use keraflex maxi / keraquick, if they are solid metal then keraquick with latex plus should do the trick..
but you have to call mapei first as they will want to know what type of metal the tiles are made of!

oh and in either case it will be the dreaded epoxy grout!!!!!

Use Mapei epoxy, as shown at the Mapei day recently...easy even with sparkly bits :smilewinkgrin:
