I know this has come up loads before but I need advice please as I can afford any mistakes my name must remain perfect it's not that I can do the job it's just I've never needed to do it as I've always done new builds ok now the defence is done as I said in a previous thread I have a bathroom floor to do a previous tiler nailed 3 mm ply on the floor boards and the floor faild he also used rapid set !! I plan on using cement boards but can only get hold of knauf aqua panel cement boards and at a great price will this do the same job as hardi boards ?? And as I said if I make sure the plank style old floor boards are down fairly solid will that be good enough I plan to use latex primer and a good flexible adhesive and grout thanks all oh forgot to add will plaster board tape on the joints do the same job as the cement board tape

I'm planning on using 6mm boards I had a look at them and they feel a lot more flexible than I thought I've never used them before

Cant see it being a problem. I find most cement boards are pretty much the same.

hi mike i only use aquapanel 6mm sheets, personally i prefer them to hardi boards...yes they feel very brittle /flexible but once bedded into adhesive and screwed down and set you will find the product changes and is a very solid base to tile from...try getting one up once fitted its not much fun!!!!

i would reccomend them

I can second that. They cut (score and snap) easier too.
