I met a tiler who always used insulation boards instead of Hardiebacker.

I’ve got a job coming up next week that involves taking up 6mm ply (nailed & probably glued) to the floorboards. The kitchen units were then put on top!

I’ve quoted for Hardiebacker, but am now thinking that 6mm insulation boards glued to the floorboards would speed up insulation.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
Sean

A kitchen in Ruislip....................I never went back to that house in High Wycombe! (the one on that dodgy estate).
you did finish It ? I have been using these boards on wooden floors for years always stick them down with a good bed just make sure you have the correct adhesive and primers if needed

I didn't even start it. I quoted 9 days for the job but the bloke I was working for only wanted to pay me for 6. So I said 'No thanks'.
