Couple of wetroom floors to be fixed in the coming weeks! Travertine wet area mosaics heated wire kit and no antifracture mat and yet to see if tanked. Ceramic tiled wetroom floor has piped underfloor heating layed into cement boards foil I think as customer told me, Durabase laid dry no adhesive or mechanical fixings, then 6mm plywood, laid dry no adhesive or mechanical fixings then tiles installed on top.
Well it was certainly decoupled . More than once
Surely they gone to the effort of using durabase they would know to use adhesive to lay it down with
Why do you leave your cards in every photo?

That's an istamp app thing keep forgetting to switch it off, I'm in my pyjamas with my cocoa so not going back to job now for more photos!
Not one bit of tanking has been done and just normal plasterboard behind aqua panel, no tapes nothing behind perimeter upstand tiles, not even a lick of pva
Wow! That's a mess. Hope there plenty coin in it for you.
Interesting that insurance company paid out for this to be fixed and yet won't pay out in the cracked travertine mosaic wetroom floor at the other job?
They probability suspect at least in part, defective materials.
Other than just plain shoddy workmanship.

Are they both done by the same tradesman - unusual for 2 jobs being prepped the same way - durabase not fixed!

No John, the travertine one was installed pretty good Wedi, tanking etc only mistake was no uncoupling for travertine, yes tiler should have known better but seen worse, I know the tiler, was out of his depth. Whereas the one done by the Lone Ranger is one of the worst I've seen. Customer won't tell me who did it.
Would have been a relative or Tonto.
Stand and deliver brigade.
