Not laying the Kardean but whats the highest wattage these tiles can take, been asked to prepare for the tiles so wouldn't normally get involved with them.

It's just for keeping there feet warm when there getting out of a shower...bless.

They mention Devimat but theres only 2m.

Answers on a post card please:)

Not suitable over 27c and you need a specific hi temp adhesive.
Also - don't use wedi-type boards beneath them. Point loading will crush them!

Would suggest you leave written instructions regarding max temp and keep a copy in case they ruin it.

Was told that today, I'm not actually fixing the tiles just doing the prep...interesting about the point loading.

You need a very different sort of kit for this, you lay 2 special boards, then the Ufh then another board on top. I've been through it all last week. My supplier wanted a drawing of floor area with all measurements and they make a bespoke kit

I spoke to Kardean and they said insulation board 10 or 6mm then 10-12mm fibre reinforced self levelling.

Bit different to what I was advised. Not sure on the manufacturer of the kit I was advised on, usually varme tho.

It's a Devimat and phoned them and was given a similar advise...now the guy just wants me to put the thermal boards down and the kardean fixer will do the rest:confused:
