This is a steam room I finished last week and was good fun, small but a tad complicated. The customer had seen a pic of graduated mosaics and took it to Domus and they suggested Bisazza 10mm paperfaced mosaics, bless em lol. With the amount there was there wasnt enough for a vertical blend. With graduated blends where theres seats, angled ceilings etc you get a lot of wastage and you need more of certain sections of the blend for it to match the walls.
I suggested having the graduation running around the room horizontally, with the shower wall that runs into mainly in the darkest blend. I marked out the walls and it was do-able. The contractor and customer let me get on with it. More of the darkest blend had to be ordered. The floor I just left it to the end to see what I had left to play with. The room is made with pre-formed Lux Elements.
It was a new contact who wants to get into installing steam rooms and he had seen my work on Instagram.

Ive tried linking this to the album of this job but all the albums come up.

I used to despise being asked to fit mosaics, it drove me potty. I much preferred fitting natural stone.

However I always enjoy looking at your jobs, this isn't normal tiling it's a specialist job in it's own right, almost arty in a way.
